About our host County of Riverside Economic Development Agency (EDA)

The Coachella Valley SBDC offers no cost, business consulting, training and other resources in a variety of areas like start up assistance, debt and equity funding, attracting and retaining customers, product commercialization and more to aspiring entrepreneurs and current business owners. Our consultants are current and former small business owners, ready to assist you with even your most complex business needs. We’re ready to help your business start, grow and succeed. The Coachella Valley SBDC provides offers its service from the community of Cabazon east to the City of Blythe in Riverside County and beyond.

The County of Riverside EDA was announced as the new host for the Coachella Valley SBDC in July 2016 to support in serving Coachella Valley’s small businesses with a special focus on top industry sectors including hospitality and foodservice, retail services and healthcare, which are expected to experience growth between 12-44% over the next few years. The County of Riverside EDA has provided direct services to the Coachella Valley business community for over 30 years in unincorporated and city areas including a valuable portfolio of resources including:

  • Business intelligence – a research unit that maintains and updates statistical reports posted on the demographics page of the EDA website and develops custom research
  • One Stop Shop – a customer service unit with expertise in the county’s sub-markets and economic development programs and services
  • Site selection, site tours and community introductions
  • Fast Track permit processing
  • Financing resources including the new Riverside County Revolving Loan Fund Program and Microloan Programs
  • Networking events and more

Economic Impact

Our Orange County Inland Empire SBDC Network provides support for the growth and development of the economies of Orange, Riverside and San Bernardino County by advancing job creation, job retention and business expansion. Since its inception in 2003, the OCIE SBDC Network has had a tremendous impact on the economies of the communities we serve and its small businesses.
