From a retail sales perspective I’ve always heard that cross-selling is a good way to increase you average sale.
BUT, I also have vivid memories of a women’s clothing store in my home town that took cross-selling to a level that really turned the customer, me, off and I only shopped there when I knew they carried exactly what I was looking for.
However, I recently read an Intuit blog entitled “6 Tips for Successful Small-Business Cross -Selling” that contained some great tips on the right way to cross-sell as well as how to incorporate the Internet into the mix. To read more go to:
